Find Out Electricity Bill Usage Of Your Computer

If you use computer for a long time and want to find out, how much electric power your computer consume so that you get an idea about part of electricity bill because of your computer usage.

Microsoft has just released a freeware software called Joulemeter which allows you to estimate the power consumption of your computer. It tracks computer resources, such as CPU utilization and screen brightness, and estimates power usage.

It lets you find out power consumption of different components of your computer like CPU, Monitor, graphic card etc. You can get to know the electricity cost per component by multiplying the per unit cost, which you can find in your last month electricity bill with the total power the component use.

Note: If you are running this program on your laptop, make sure it is on battery not connected to power and this application might collect and upload some about your computer online like CPU and utilization; applications running; hard disk size and type; memory size and type; or the name of the Internet service provider and the IP address of your computer.
